The following are my entries to the BBC Radio 3 Christmas carol composition competition. Usually the format is to be given a poem or other lyrics to be set to music for a SATB choir, with or without accompaniment. 2020 was slightly different as only a melody was required. So far none of my entries have been short-listed.

The next one is just an idea that I had for a lullaby in 5/8 time. It s written for a women's choir in three voices. There are things wrong with it and I will re-visit it at some point as I think it does contain some good ideas. I once tried to translate it into SATB but that didn't work at all!
